Title: | Smart antenna testbed for high speed wireless communications | Authors: | Chin, Francois Chia, Michael |
Issue Date: | 1998 | Citation: | Chin, Francois,Chia, Michael (1998). Smart antenna testbed for high speed wireless communications. IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, PIMRC 2 : 952-955. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | A flexible experimental 12-element antenna array testbed was built for high data rate mobile communications and PCS applications. The supported simultaneous data sampling rate on 12 elements is about 3.5MHz. An indoor field trial was conducted to demonstrate performance improvement in terms of BER and SNR using adaptive beamforming techniques like blind algorithms over switched diversity method. Spatial Division Multiple Access (SDMA) will also be discussed to demonstrate the system capacity enhancement using adaptive array for DECT. Experiments have been conducted to demonstrate multipath mitigation, interference suppression and capacity enhancement. | Source Title: | IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, PIMRC | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/112370 |
