Title: | Design of a high-speed MC-CDMA system for broadband mobile radio communications | Authors: | Madhukumar, A.S. Chin, F. |
Issue Date: | 2001 | Citation: | Madhukumar, A.S.,Chin, F. (2001). Design of a high-speed MC-CDMA system for broadband mobile radio communications. IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, PIMRC 2 : G1-G5. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | This paper is concerned with a new method to enhance the bandwidth efficiency of an MC-CDMA system by using a residue number based representation for information symbols. The residues are mapped into a set of orthogonal sequences and are transmitted in parallel. To increase the data rate further, a modified residue representation scheme is used with significantly less number of orthogonal sequences. A multicarrier modulation scheme is used for both transmission and reception of residue channels. The issues involved in the design of an enhanced RNS based MC-CDMA architecture is discussed and the performance of the system is evaluated in a frequency selective Rayleigh fading channel via extensive simulations. | Source Title: | IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, PIMRC | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/112326 |
