Abstract: The input impedance characteristics of tilted planar monopole antennas with different shapes are investigated. The planar elements are square, circular, triangular, diamond, and bow-tie-like plates, respectively, and have the same heights. The effects of the different oblique angles between the planar element and the vertical on the input impedance and resonant frequency are discussed.
