Abstract: The differential evolution (DE) algorithm is applied to the synthesis of low sidelobe linear antenna arrays. Simulation results of several canonical problems are presented and compared to those optimized by real-coded genetic algorithm (RGA). It is observed that the differential evolution algorithm outperforms the real-coded genetic algorithm for low sidelobe array synthesis.
