Abstract: Many communication systems (such as wireless local area network (WLAN), GSM/DCS) require antennas with multiband/broadband characteristics. Multiband antennas and broadband antennas are always important and attractive topics. On the other hand, WLAN is one of the most important applications of wireless communication technology. It uses both bands 2.412-2.482GHz (IEEE 802.11b and IEEE.Hg) and 5.15-5.825GHz (IEEE 802.11b). Many antennas are demonstrated recently for WLAN use, such as shorted planar monopole [1], modified inverted-L monopole [2], compact monopole [3] CPW-fed compacted monopole [4], and other type antenna[5-6]. In this paper, a monopole antenna with two stubs is proposed. It is very suitable for integration with wireless local area network (WLAN) and other communication systems, alicels © 2006 IEEE.
