Title: | Information architecture practice: Research-based recommendations for the practitioner | Authors: | Periasamy, K.P. Feeny, D.F. |
Issue Date: | Sep-1997 | Citation: | Periasamy, K.P.,Feeny, D.F. (1997-09). Information architecture practice: Research-based recommendations for the practitioner. Journal of Information Technology 12 (3) : 197-205. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | A large-scale postal survey and six in-depth case studies on information architecture practice were carried out from 1992 to 1994 in the UK. The research findings suggest information architecture to be a useful information systems planning tool. The study further redefines information architecture's core components and concludes that the careful targeting and development of these components - business system architecture, application architecture and data architecture - can contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency of information systems planning and implementation. | Source Title: | Journal of Information Technology | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/111183 | ISSN: | 02683962 |
