Abstract: Under suitable conditions on f(t, u), it is shown that the two-point boundary value problem u″(t) + λf(t, u(t)) = 0, in (0, 1), u(0) = u(1) = 0, has at least one positive solution for λ in a compatible interval. © 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
