Abstract: The present study describes three new species, viz. Potamalpheops amnicus, n. sp., from Johore [Peninsular Malaysia], Singapore and Pulau Bintan [Indonesia], Potamalpheops miyai n. sp., from Pulau Bintan [Indonesia], and Potamalpheops tigger n. sp., from Singapore. One of these, P. amnicus, is a true freshwater species while the other two are mangrove- dwellers. This represents the first record of Potamalpheops from Southeast Asia. The genus has previously also been reported from Central America, West Africa, Northern Australia and New Caledonia. A key to the Southeast Asian species of Potamalpheops is provided.
