dc.description.abstractWe implement a flexible on-line storage and retrieval system of image database. This system is novel in that it design consistent icon-oriented GUI and emphasizes the active role of `the user'; spatial relationships and color are used as the retrieval features and we select Oracle to manage the textual data in image database.
