Abstract: The Brillouin spectrum of two concentrations of triton X-100-water system has been obtained as a function of temperature through the sol-gel transition point, using a five-pass Fabry-Pérot interferometer. The increase in line-width observed in the gel phase is attributed to the scattering of sound waves from the network of the polymer crosslinks. © 1984.
