ScholarBank@NUS Repository.||Abstract:||Electronic properties of one-dimensional Frenkel-Kontorova (FK) model was were studied. The energy spectra and quantum diffusion of an electron was studied numerically in FK chains. Electron eigenenergies were obtained numerically by the transfer matrix method. Different behaviors were observed for the spectral and dynamical properties of an electron display in the invariance circle regime and in the Cantorus regime.
