The occurrence of foreign particles on the surface of growing crystals serves as a precursor for heterogeneous 2D nucleation. A needlelike pattern of surface instability caused by solid particle induced growth was observed for the naphthalene crystals grown from the melt.||Source Title:||Journal of Chemical Physics||URI:||http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/96305||ISSN:||00219606||DOI:||10.1063/1.1318739|
