|Title:||Crystallization parameters of two MgNiNd alloy glasses with large supercooled liquid ranges||Authors:||Li, Y.
|Issue Date:||Oct-1994||Citation:||Li, Y.,Ng, S.C.,Ong, C.K.,Lee, L.H.,Jones, H. (1994-10). Crystallization parameters of two MgNiNd alloy glasses with large supercooled liquid ranges. Materials Letters 21 (2) : 175-178. ScholarBank@NUS Repository.||Abstract:||The crystallization parameters of new easy glass forming Mg75Ni20Nd5 and Mg65Ni20Nd15 alloys with large supercooled liquid regions were determined isothermally by DSC. The Avrami exponent n as well as the associated activation energy E for crystallization were found to be different at heating temperatures near the glass transition temperature Tg and crystallization temperature Tx. This result indicates a difference in crystallization mechanism for these glasses in these different temperature ranges. © 1994.||Source Title:||Materials Letters||URI:||http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/96134||ISSN:||0167577X|
