dc.description.abstractA method for the accurate measurement of the transmission coefficient of acoustic filters is described. The measurement is an adaptation of the standing wave apparatus and results have been obtained for the transmission pipe with a constricted section. The greater accuracy of the results shows good agreement with the one-dimensional filter theory with a revised interpretation of the constriction length. © 1987.
