ScholarBank@NUS Repository.||Abstract:||The crystal structure determination shows that the molecule is situated about a crystallographic two-fold axis of symmetry with the zinc atom lying on the axis. The zinc atom is six-coordinate being coordinated by two nearly symmetrically chelating dithiocarbamate ligands and the 2,2′-bipyridyl molecule. The distortions from the ideal geometry can be related to the restricted bite distances of the chelating ligands.
