dc.description.abstract | A novel soluble 1,4-conjugated naphthalene-based thiophene copolymer was chemically synthesized and characterized. The copolymer demonstrates efficient blue-green light emission with a fluorescence quantum yield of up to 31% in solution. It has good solubility in most organic solvents and good thermal stability. Upon oxidation with I2 or FeCl3, conductivity of up to 10-5 Ω-1 cm-1 for copolymer was observed. © 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved. | |
