dc.description.abstract | The reaction of dicyclopropyl ketone with hydrazine sulfate and sodium cyanide afforded 1,1′-bis(1-amino-4,4-dicyclopropyl-2,3-diaza-1,3-butadienyl). The compound exists in the trans conformation in the solid-state and has a trans population of 91.2% in solution. Experimental data are compared with values estimated by ab initio calculations. | |
