Abstract: The regulatory factors and supply chain planning in chemical industry were discussed. Key regulatory factors that can significantly influence the earnings or business operations of multinational companies were introduced. Two planning models for supply chains were presented in which the first model addressed the capacity expansion planning problem that was an important class of the strategic supply chain problem. The other model dealt with a production-distribution problem for a multi-product chemical company.
