dc.description.abstract | A boundary problem in energy-related carbon emission decomposition that has implications on energy policy is analyzed. It concerns the coverage of energy sources in CO2 emission analysis or, more specifically, the treatment of energy sources such as nuclear and hydro that do not emit CO2. A case study related to the decomposition of CO2 emissions in electricity generation in Korea is presented to illustrate the issues involved. © 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved. | |
