It concerns the coverage of energy sources in CO2 emission analysis or, more specifically, the treatment of energy sources such as nuclear and hydro that do not emit CO2. A case study related to the decomposition of CO2 emissions in electricity generation in Korea is presented to illustrate the issues involved. © 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd.
