ScholarBank@NUS Repository. https://doi.org/10.1109/PGC.2010.5706104||Abstract:||A multimode-injection-locked Fabry-Perot laser diode (FP-LD) is proposed and used as the remote seeding light for upstream transmission in wavelength-division-multiplex passive optical networks (WDM-PONs). The multimode-injection-locked FP-LD performs as a noise suppressor to reduce the relative intensity noise (RIN) of spectrum-sliced amplified spontaneous emission (ASE).
