ScholarBank@NUS Repository.||Abstract:||In this paper, a composite control scheme using a synergy of PID and adaptive control is proposed. Adaptive control provides an adaptive feedforward control signal, while the PID provides feedback control for robustness against both parametric and non-parametric modeling errors. Conditions for the stability of the proposed control system are derived and provided in the paper. The control scheme developed is relevant to general nonlinear systems.
