Abstract: The contour integral method and the single-series Green's function approach must use estimates of effective quantities of structure dimensions to indirectly account for fringing effects in order to achieve accurate results. By characterizing the full effects of fringing in the algorithm, computed FDTD results accurately predicted the S-parameters and the unequal power division of an example three-way sectorial power divider. © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
