dc.description.abstract | The present article describes the development of a reliable electromagnetic model (based on the least-squares boundary residual method that is known for its rigorous convergence) for predicting the scattering coefficients of a thick circular iris placed in a circular waveguide. Tests confirm that the numerical data predicted by the resultant software package (which is compact enough to be housed in a DEC workstation or its equivalent) are accurate to within ±0.5%. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. | |
