ScholarBank@NUS Repository.||Abstract:||This paper presents a scheme of hybrid optimization using the simulated annealing and Lagrange multiplier techniques for optimal SVC planning and voltage stability enhancement. It also proposes a 4-step procedure for synthesizing the optimal reactive reinforcement. The hybrid optimization is formulated into a constrained problem with non-differentiable objective function in both continuous and discrete variables.
