dc.description.abstract | The authors describe an improved synthesis of digital transmit and analogue receive filters for data communication systems. A novel formulation of the problem which requires minimisation of a ratio of 2 quadratic expressions subject to a quadratic constraint is presented. Using this, both the digital transmit and analogue receive filters are optimised simultaneously for minimum impacts of noise, intersymbol interference (ISI) and adjacent channel interference (ACI) on SNR degradation. | |
