ScholarBank@NUS Repository.||Abstract:||In this article, a fast and novel method is proposed to determine accurately and efficiently the singularity due to the surface wave as found in the electric field integral equation. The method involves a simple reorganization of the classical expressions for both the transverse electric (DTE) and the transverse magnetic surface wave modes (DTM) into some piecewise linear forms suitable for the Newton-Raphson algorithm. Extensive numerical comparison is made with some of the classical methods used for pole extraction. The numerical results, as presented, confirm efficiency and fast quadratic convergence.||Source Title:||Microwave and Optical Technology Letters||URI:||http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/80419||ISSN:||08952477|
