Abstract: Hydrogen-bonding interaction and miscibility between poly(2-vinylpyrdine) (P2VPy) and five bisphenols are studied by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and wide angle X-ray diffraction (WAXD). It is found that the miscibility behavior strongly depends on the flexibility of the bisphenol molecules. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. Polym. Sci. 87.
