Electric birefringences and solution-state conformations of decafluorobiphenyl and decafluorobenzophenone. Journal of Molecular Structure 127 (1-2) : 175-180. ScholarBank@NUS Repository.||Abstract:||Dielectric polarisation and electric birefringence measurements are reported for biphenyl, 4-fluorobiphenyl, decafluorobiphenyl and decafluorobenzophenone as solutes in cyclohexane at 298 K. Preferred solution-state conformations deduced for decafluorobiphenyl and decafluorobenzophenone are compared with those of the unsubstituted compounds to gauge the effects of fluorine substitution. © 1985.||Source Title:||Journal of Molecular Structure||URI:||http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/76044||ISSN:||00222860|
