dc.description.abstractMukaiyama aldol and Mukaiyama-Michael reactions can proceed smoothly in the presence of a catalytic amount of DBU (20% mmol), to afford the corresponding products in moderate to good yields. This solvent- and metal-free approach provides an environmentally friendly procedure for Mukaiyama reactions. © 2004 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
