Based on the exploratory case study of Sony's creation of transistor radio, combined with the extant literature, the constructs key to the creation of technologies for disruptive innovation have been identified in 4 propositions. The case study also indicates that the R&D leading to the creation of disruptive technologies could indeed be extremely challenging and suitable as agenda for use-inspired upstream research. ©2008 IEEE. | Source Title: | Proceedings of the 4th IEEE International Conference on Management of Innovation and Technology, ICMIT | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/75269 | ISBN: | 9781424423309 | DOI: | 10.1109/ICMIT.2008.4654338 |
