Keywords: | Bus operations RFID Signal priority |
Issue Date: | 2011 | Citation: | Wang, H., Cheu, R., Lee, D.-H. (2011). RFID enabled signal priority strategies for bus operations. Applied Mechanics and Materials 55-57 : 2169-2174. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | This paper involves a study of signal priority strategies for bus operations using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology enabled devices. An actual suburban network of the Clementi area of Singapore, which including several signalized intersections, was used for microscopic traffic simulations conducted in this study. Based on the experimental results, the proposed system has the potential to improve public bus service level by reducing congestion of bus traffic flow through street intersections. © (2011) Trans Tech Publications. | Source Title: | Applied Mechanics and Materials | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/75163 | ISBN: | 9783037850992 | ISSN: | 16609336 |
