ScholarBank@NUS Repository.||Abstract:||Elliptical Hollow Sections (EHS) are especially attractive for architectural applications. Since limited evidence exists for the design of directly welded joints between EHS, a new research programme has been initiated. The first phase of this programme aims at providing information for developing design rules for axially loaded T and X joints between EHS.
