ScholarBank@NUS Repository.||Abstract:||A modified tidal prism method is used to formulate a predictive equation for the cause-effect relationship of the tidal flushing characteristics in a semi-enclosed basin. The effectiveness of tidal flushing can be evaluated by an Effective Exchange Coefficient which is defined as a function of two parameters related to the physical and geometric dimensions of the inlet-basin system.
