dc.description.abstractThis paper describes the experimental determination of the temperature distribution in a thermal plume resulting from the horizontal lateral release of heated water into a uniform open channel flow. The continuity and momentum equations are solved along with the standard κ-ε turbulence model and the energy equation to provide numerical comparisons with the experimental results.
