Title: | Indirect rotor position sensing for variable reluctance motors | Authors: | Panda, Sanjib K. Chong, Keng Young Lock, Kai Sang |
Issue Date: | 1994 | Citation: | Panda, Sanjib K.,Chong, Keng Young,Lock, Kai Sang (1994). Indirect rotor position sensing for variable reluctance motors. Conference Record - IAS Annual Meeting (IEEE Industry Applications Society) 1 : 644-648. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | This study is concerned with further developments in indirect rotor position detection using the Waveform Detection (WD) technique for Variable Reluctance (VR) motors. In this study the inactive/diagnostic phase chop current is used. A 3-phase VT stepping motor is driven by a hard-wired digital closed-loop controller. Experimental results show that rotor position detection using the WD with diagnostic phase chop current fall time provides reliable position detection and stable operation for the drive system over a wide operating range. | Source Title: | Conference Record - IAS Annual Meeting (IEEE Industry Applications Society) | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/72696 | ISSN: | 01972618 |
