dc.description.abstract | A vernier ranging method for radar applications with accuracy of the order of millimeters is presented. The principle of this new radar ranging method is developed with the ranging accuracy analyzed. The ranging accuracy for a point target is shown to be exactly as predicted by theory. The robustness of the system is also demonstrated using computer simulation on dispersive targets. | |
