dc.description.abstractThe Rashba effect in a FM/I/2DEG/I/FM structure was investigated. It was observed that the combined Rashba interaction and spin-dependent transmission across the barriers produced high degree of spin polarization of current within the 2DEG. It was shown that a high degree of spin-polarization could be achieved by the combined effect of a high tunnel barrier and strong Rashba coupling.
