ScholarBank@NUS Repository. https://doi.org/10.1109/PGC.2010.5706002||Abstract:||We demonstrate a cost-effective single-fiber 10-Gbps downlink/2.5-Gbps uplink wavelength-division- multiplexed passive optical network system using a directly modulated laser (DML) and a reflective semiconductor optical amplifier (RSOA). We employ DC-balanced 9B/10B line coding for downstream DML modulation.
