dc.description.abstractIn this paper, an efficient technique is proposed to optimize the geometie and arrangements of the slots of the CARLSAs. Moment method in carried out to obtain the unknown excitation coefficients after spliting the slot pairs into several identical sectors. The slot lengths and positions are then optimized to achieve the uniform amplitude and phase over the aperture. The computation of the admittance matrix is reduced a lot while the unknowns of the slot excitation coefficients are also minimized. © 2005 IEEE.
