dc.description.abstractAll-solid-state thin film lithium micro-batteries have attracted more and more interests due to their potential applications as power sources for microelectronic devices. Thin film Li electrolyte, as the key part in the thin film batteries, is very important to the performance of the thin film batteries. This paper reviews a wide range of lithium ion conductors including glassy electrolytes and crystalline electrolytes for potential application in the micro-batteries. The thin film Li electrolytes reported in the literatures are reviewed with a focus on their ionic and electronic conductivity, chemical stability, and compatibility with electrode materials.
