Abstract: Two new monomers, N-3-alloxy,2-hydroxy propanyl,amino-4-2,2,6,6-tetramethyl piperidine and N-2-hydroxy,hexenyl-5-amino-4-2,2,6,6-tetramethyl piperidine, were synthesized by direct addition reaction of 4-amino-2,2,6,6-tetramethyl piperidine to allyl glycidyl ether (AG) or 1,2-epoxy-5-hexene (HEPO) at 80 °C. The structures of these two new monomers were characterized by FT-IR, proton-NMR, UV-spectra, MS and elemental analysis. The properties of these monomers are also described. © 1995.
