dc.description.abstractA laboratory investigation was carried out on the removal of organics, colour, toxic metals and nutrients from industrial wastewaters using an activated algae-reactor system. The preliminary investigation shows encouraging results on removal of such pollutants from the industrial wastewaters. In this paper, the authors present the results of their investigation and highlight the effectiveness of the activated algae-reactor system for treating industrial wastewaters as a means for alleviating the pollution of water bodies.
