dc.description.abstractTest results of six reinforced concrete grid frames of four different configurations are presented in this paper. For each frame collapse load analyses have been carried out using two different interaction relationships to represent the behaviour of a section at, collapse: one for combined torsion, bending and, shear and the other by ignoring the effect of shear. The predictions of the collapse load and mode of failure by both the methods have been found to be in good agreement with test results. It has been shown that the effect of transverse shear is only marginal for the grid frames considered in this study.
