Abstract: We report a facile strategy to synthesize folic acid-functionalized two-photon absorbing (TPA) nanoparticles with aggregation-induced emission for targeted cancer cell imaging using a two-photon fluorescence microscope. © 2011 The Royal Society of Chemistry.
