dc.description.abstract | DESIGN of coplanar-waveguide (CPW) components is typically realized using full-wave or quasi-static analysis techniques, which may require significant computer-processing time and resources. Closed-form formulas (in terms of ordinary functions that can be solved with a scientific calculator) based on function approximation and curve-fitting correction of quasi-static equations have been derived to provide an alternative method for CPW synthesis. Comparisons with results obtained with quasi-static analysis, rigorous full-wave analysis, and experiments indicate that the formulas provide an accuracy of better than 1 percent. | |
