dc.description.abstract | A new closed-form expression for the distribution of the phase angle between two Rayleigh vectors perturbed by correlated Gaussian noise and intersymbol interference is derived. This formula is applied in the computation of the bit error rates of differentially-detected π/4-differential quaternary phase shift-keyed (DQPSK) and conventional DQPSK systems, and a comparison of performance between these two systems is made. | |
