dc.description.abstractThe article describes how the inclusion of a notch and resistor in the design of a microstrip sectorial structure can help to reduce the isolation between certain ports. Experimental tests on two- and four-way prototypes have demonstrated that it is possible to obtain an isolation of better than -20 dB over a minimum bandwidth of 20%, and these components may thus be utilized as power combiners (in addition to their main use as power dividers). © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
