dc.description.abstractSome enhancements of the spectral-domain approach in the polar coordinate are described. A simple and efficient algorithm is devised to numerically evaluate the contribution of the oscillatory tail of the two-dimensional (2-D) Sommerfeld integral. For the first time, four new vectorized basis functions are proposed. Good agreement is obtained between the simulated results and the measured data for a microstrip Y-junction in the 4-12 GHz range. © 1997 IEEE.
