ScholarBank@NUS Repository. https://doi.org/10.1109/26.585912||Abstract:||A new analytical approach is presented for deriving the bit error probability results for 2 and 4DPSK with differential detection over the nonselective Rayleigh fading channel with diversity reception and with an additional additive, correlated, Gaussian interference process in each diversity channel. The approach differs from that in a previous paper, and is based on a well-known result in the literature. The results here are new, and reduce to known results when the correlated interference is absent. They show that the correlated interference behaves like an additional component of the information-bearing signal, and affects the error probabilities of the various transmitted symbols differently, irrespective of its statistical distribution.
